| | | ACTION PLAN The QEC has the following action plan: -
The QEC will continue to assist and encourage the departments to expedite the collection of information and data for the HEC self assessment proformae to complete the HEC Self Assessment Procedure. -
The collection of data and information for the HEC assessment proformae from diverse sources such as students, faculty, alumni, and employers is a time consuming and laborious task. This concern has been raised by the program teams and conveyed to the HEC. Specifically, evaluating all courses of a program by the full strength of a department’s students is not feasible. To simplify and ease this task, sampling and use of online proformae have been suggested. The QEC has requested the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology for assistance which, in turn, has initiated to have all 10 HEC standardized proformae online and has already completed 60% of the task. The task to online the HEC proformae is comprised of three main phases: (i) development of a database, (ii) design of user's interface, and (iii) coding. The online system will be developed such that it provides an illustrative output to help evaluate and analyze the proformae feedback. -
The management and faculty representing the satellite campuses of the university have expressed the need for conducting quality awareness seminars. The QEC has brought this concern to the notice of the higher ups and is planning to present the awareness seminars at the satellite campuses. -
The QEC has initiated the task of achieving the ISO 9001:2000 certification for the University of Engineering and Technology.
